Trystan Finocchiaro remains upbeat.

Scuderia Maranga rider, Trystan Finocchiaro, insisted there were positives to be taken from his first-round performance in the World Supersport 300 series despite crashing out.

On his event debut at the Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain, the weekend started in the right direction as the 19-year-old qualified as the fastest Brit and Honda.

On race day, his race ended early after a radiator leak caused Finocchiaro to crash out of the 11-lap contest.

He said: “We have a lot of positives to take from this weekend at Aragon and also a lot that we have learnt.

“We showed we can be the fastest Honda, so that is already one positive.

“However, we are looking for more than that.

“I strongly believe that pace-wise we could’ve shown a lot more, we just need to be a bit more strategical in our approach and even more pace and higher positions will follow.”
