European lighting and automotive electrical specialist, Ring has appointed Jamie Deboo as key account manager.

Prior to joining Ring, Jamie held the position of business development manager for Hella Ltd, where he secured over £900,000 of new business within a two-year period.

In his new post, Jamie will head up several UK automotive aftermarket buying groups and will help to drive continued growth for Ring using his extensive market knowledge and experience.

Jamie said: “I am really pleased to take up the position of key account manager at Ring, the flexible nature of the role really appealed to me.

“I believe the professionalism of the entire staff is what makes Ring the market leader it has become.

“I am really looking forward to working with the team and to building on the great work that is already going on.”

This appointment follows on from the announcement that German lighting group Osram has received approval by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to complete its acquisition of the business.

With this takeover, Osram will now look to strengthen its aftermarket business and offer customers access to a broader, complementary product range.

Nick Racklyeft, aftermarket general manager at Ring, said: “Not only are we continuing to expand across the UK, the business has also experienced considerable growth in recent years across Europe and the rest of the world.

“As we continue to develop and extend our product range, it’s crucial to have the right people to take the company forward.

“We welcome Jamie to the team, as he plays a key role in our long-term growth strategy.”
