Gain confidence to undertake VAG double clutch system replacement

Tool Connection set to host two-day Schaeffler double clutch training course

In addition to offering its IMI approved double clutch system training courses through customers and at events such as AutoInform, Schaeffler also offers intensive training courses direct to garages, with the latest taking place at the Tool Connection training centre in Southam 6 and 7 of September.

Interested technicians can book their place via the ticket portal at the OESAA (Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association) website.

OESAA is allowing Schaeffler, one of the original members of the campaign for genuine parts quality, to host a page on its existing ticket platform to make it easier for potential delegates to book places at the event.

If however, there’s any difficulty booking places online, email [email protected] and the REPXPERT team can help book a book a place on their behalf.

Only 12 places are available for this highly focused and intensive double clutch training course, which is designed to give workshops the chance to see the profit opportunity that the repair of these systems provides the independent sector, as well as to learn the correct replacement procedures they need to follow to ensure an efficient and professional repair.

Technical services manager, Alistair Mason said: “The objective of the course is to give technicians the knowledge and confidence to undertake VAG double clutch system replacement using our LuK 2CT repair solutions and the correct tools, as well as an understanding of the comprehensive support network that the REPXPERT programme provides them.

“Both days follow the same structure, starting with an overview of the double clutch system, followed by the theory behind the clutch and mechatronics.

“We then move onto a practical removal and installation, as well as looking into the common issues that can affect the three main elements: gearbox, mechatronics and clutch.

“The only difference is that day one covers the dry clutch system, whereas day two covers the wet clutch version.

“At just £299 per person (inc.VAT), the two-day course, which includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day, is exceptional value and, as numbers are so limited, interested attendees should act quickly to secure their place.”
