Sykes-Pickavant launches new treatment for completely blocked DPFs

Sykes-Pickavant has expanded its Injector Max range with the introduction of DPF Restore; a treatment compatible with its Ecomax and Injector Max Machines.

For use when the vehicle’s DPF has become completely blocked and is unable to trigger its own active regeneration, the soap-based treatment breaks down soot and ash particles restoring flow to the particulate filter.

A Sykes-Pickavant spokesperson said: “The treatment provides a simple solution for regenerating completely blocked DPFs without the need for removal.

“After DPF restore, it’s recommended to follow up with an Injector Max Diesel RTG treatment, Fortron Regen treatment and then the manufacturer’s regeneration process. Improved fuel economy, reduced soot and gas emissions and higher engine performance can be expected following this treatment.

“This solution benefits both the garage and customer by providing lower maintenance costs and time/labour savings.”

DPF Restore is available individually or in packs of six on the Sykes-Pickavant website.
