TRICO secured a podium on its debut in the opening round of the British Pro Kart Endurance Championship (BPEC).

The original equipment manufacturer also claimed a sixth-place finish in the sister kart at Warden Law, Sunderland, where both karts competed in a gruelling six-hour endurance race.

It was a competitive grid, but Tockwith Motorsports’ (TMS) Jemma Moore and Kayls Cole in the number 26 and brothers Marmaduke and Aubrey Hall in the 78 kart were delighted with their efforts after finishing runner-up and sixth respectively.

TRICO senior brand and product manager, Sam Robinson, said: “To gain a podium in our maiden race was a great result for everyone, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season unfolds.

“It is always rewarding and satisfying when I see the TRICO logo emblazoned on a competition vehicle, especially when it’s challenging for victories.

“A new championship means new circuits, which means promoting the TRICO brand to new audiences.

“In addition, the racing is electric and was clearly enjoyed by the impressive number of spectators at the first race.

“Also, TRICO and TMS are planning something special for the final race in Campillios, Málaga, so watch this space.”

TMS Owner, Simon Moore, said: “We were delighted with the opening weekend. There are some seasoned and fast drivers within the field, so to come away with a trophy at the end of a demanding race is rich reward for everyone, especially TRICO.

“We’re delighted to be carrying on what has been a warm, professional and winning relationship so far. With many new projects on the horizon, we are confident that TMS and TRICO will enjoy more success in the years to come.”
