Alliance Automotive has added online technical training courses for its AutoCare and UGS garage networks.

To date more than 150 delegates have taken advantage of courses in the last four weeks on subjects including electric vehicle battery management, PicoScope diagnostics, as well as basic and advanced electronics.

The online training will continue to be made available for members despite a two-month payment holiday.

The garage networks are attracting more than 200 email enquiries and bookings every day on the Approved Garages lead generation website.

An Alliance Automotive spokesperson said: “The garage network team are ensuring that they contact every garage personally to ensure the garage have received the lead and responded, and if a garage is closed, then the lead is passed to the closest one within the network that is open.

“In addition, the garage network team are sending out daily email updates to the networks informing them of any new and relevant information on the COVID-19 situation, along with any new guidelines and helpful tips and advice on furloughing staff and claiming government grants.”
