The core of the product team has been transformed since it left the PSA Group in 2014, and, general manager, Peter Cox, declared the company is now going through “one of the most exciting” moments in its 35-year history.
He said: “With more projects in the pipeline, which will help us realise our UK and European expansion plants, these are truly exciting times for us.”
Brand and product development manager, Jon Haywood, heads up the Motaquip product team.
He joined the Nuneaton-based company in January 2015 and set about overhauling the business’s product, brand and pricing strategies, allowing customers to maximise sales and margins.
The product managers themselves, all of whom boast over 70 years’ automotive experience between them, are specialists in their own fields.
Pete Allen leads the company’s braking, filtration and wheel bearing product groups.
His valuable experience, along with one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date filter product ranges, has allowed customers to stay ahead of tough competition.
Like Jon, Peter Wallace also joined the team in January 2015 and spearheads the steering and suspension category for Motaquip.
Thanks to Joanna Williams, customers are already profiting from up-to-date and accurate product and cross reference data, which is available and easy to understand.
Joanna develops Motaquip’s clutch, bulb, spark plug, and glow plug ranges.
Daniel Bandy, appointed as product manager in March, is responsible for batteries, belt systems, cooling, and wiper blades.
Motaquip’s marketing department is overseen by Pete Horton, who was recruited in April 2016.
