A motorist was left stumped when their car became stuck in a wet road after pranksters moved traffic cones warning drivers of the danger in Powys, South Wales.
Vale of Glamorgan Council say the cones had been ‘tampered with’.
Councillor Peter King said: “As a consequence of the incident, the traffic management measures at the corner have been reviewed and replaced with a more robust arrangement to guide motorists and prevent a re-occurrence of this problem or future driver confusion.”
A resident living near the roadworks said: “I suppose it could have happened to anyone if you didn’t know the cement was wet.
“I feel very sorry for the driver, I hope their car was OK.”
