NGK is the exclusive supplier of spark plugs for the SF16-H Ferrari and the existing contract has been extended until the end of 2020.
NGK and Scuderia Ferrari teamed up for the first time in 1996 since then they have won six World championship drivers’ and eight constructors’ championships.
After two races, the 2016 season sees Scuderia Ferrari in second place in the constructors’ championship with former world champion drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel in fifth and sixth place respectively.
Marketing manager Mark Hallam said: “Formula One is at the pinnacle of motorsport and Ferrari is the biggest name in the sport.
“The start of the season has been very encouraging for the team and we look forward to following the team and their incredible drivers’ exploits over the 2016 season.”
