Team Comline conquers Wicklow 200
A team of four employees from Comline Ireland have taken on Ireland's premier cycling challenge, the Wicklow 200.

A team of cyclists from Comline Ireland proudly adorned Comline colours to take on Ireland’s world-famous Wicklow 200 cycling challenge on Sunday, June 9.

Ashley McGonnell, Stephen McGrane, Caroline O’Neill, and Lee McKenna – all employees at the Monaghan based company – came together back in January to begin training for the annual challenge which is widely acclaimed as one of the most strenuous and highly regarded events on the world cycling calendar.

Before participating in the challenge, Warehouse Operative, Lee McKenna commented: “I have always been a keen cyclist, but my inspiration to tackle this iconic course was sparked by my colleagues Ashley, Stephen and Caroline all of whom undertook the challenge last year.

“We have certainly trained hard and put the hours in, I am hoping this, the breath-taking scenery, and the great comradery we have as a team will be enough to get our blue and yellow jerseys safely over the finish line.”

Damien Larkin, Comline Ireland’s General Manager also added: “I am extremely proud of the team and truly admire their determination.”

Taking in many of the most iconic climbs in Ireland’s ‘Garden County’ this high-profile event is organised by the Irish Veteran Cyclists Association.
