TUANAP has reported a rise in DPF cleaning system sales after new MOT laws came into force in May 20, 2018.
TUNAP say vehicles fitted with DPFs from new will now fail the MOT if it has been removed or tampered with.
In a press release, a TUNAP spokesperson said: “With these changes, garages from all over the UK are trying to find the best solution for customers having DPF issues that will not cost them £1000’s in new parts.
“The alternative solution to a new DPF being fitted is cleaning the original and this is where TUNAP’s many years of expertise comes in.
“TUNAP has created the most advanced DPF cleaning system available on the market.
“It is approved by Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Suzuki and several commercial brands as the only recommended fix.”
The system works with all brands of vehicle and can be used with the DPF in situ.
The cleaning process, which takes around an hour to complete, removes soot and ash deposits from inside the DPF.
After the clean, TUNAP say the DPF is restored back to an “as good as new” condition for all soot, ash and pressure parameters.
