It’s a job that’s been made easier for the NISMO team thanks to their partnership with Dura.
Not only did the workshop equipment specialist fit out the team’s headquarters, the team also has a modular system which can be taken to the track for tests and races.
Nissan LM P1 team manager, Chris Mower said: “We take a mobile workshop with us wherever we go.
“Having a modular system like we have with Dura makes everything so much easier for us when we get to the track.”
Chris said: “The guys getting their hands on the right tool at the right time is very important, especially in a racing environment.
“A lot of the time if you are going to the garage during the race it is unexpected so making that happen in the minimal amount of time is very important.”
Each work bay at the team’s European headquarters features Dura’s specialist five-drawer tool cabinets with secure foam inlays as well as multiple 1200mm base cabinets featuring sliding double doors and adjustable shelving.
Chris explained that each vehicle technician has their own preferences as to how the cabinets are laid out, so having that flexibility is a definite asset.
In a recent press release, Dura said they are honoured to have been chosen by the renowned sporting division and to be a part of the operation for Nissan’s LM P1 entry into the 2015-2016 FIA Wold Endurance Championship.
