The owner of a Toyota Aygo woke up on Sunday to find deep, gouging scratches on her car and two deflated tyres.
Confused about the peculiar damage having been away from home, a neighbour who witnessed what happened described a “crazy and savage” attack by foxes.
Speaking to Surrey Live, the owner of the car, Celine Marks said: “About 2am, a few foxes had been going crazy at my car, attacking my back two wheels, scratching the whole car and circling it.
“Too scared to come out and scare them away”
“She [my neighbour] was too scared to come out and scare them away.
“They damaged the car and ran off.”
In total, Celine shelled out £160 for two new tyres and £90 for the tow truck.
She added: “I was completely shocked to hear the story because I thought it may have been kids coming along slashing tyres or something like that.
“It’s just so odd.
“No one has heard of it, even the people at the tyre place had never seen it before.

“I have taken measures to prevent it happening again.
“I’ve got fox repellent spray that I’ve bought.
“It’s kind of scary thinking it might happen again, it’s very unexpected.”
Although both tyres have now been replaced, Celine has held off repairing the scratch marks to her rear bumper, and has told others to be wary of any similar incidents.
