An Air Ambulance was called to Bowker Preston BMW after a man was injured by a falling car, it has been reported.

Ambulance Services say that the man was believed to have been injured after a car came off a ramp.

A spokesman for the Ambulance Services said: “A car has fallen off a ramp onto a man at the garage.

“The Air Ambulance was sent out but the patient was transported to Royal Preston Hospital via land ambulance.

“We also sent a rapid response vehicle to the scene.”

Police confirmed reports of a suspected workplace accident, adding that the man involved was not seriously injured.

A spokesman for Bowker Motor Group said: “Shortly after 1pm on Monday a staff member working at Bowker Motor Group required medical attention following an incident at the Preston site.

“The member of staff was treated at hospital yesterday and sent home later that night.

“Air ambulance was deployed as matter of caution but not required.”
