Banner Batteries has ‘leaped’ at the opportunity to help celebrate a rare customer birthday.
Raj Ghai, director of GDL – one of London’s principal wholesalers and suppliers of quality automotive components – represents less than 0.1 per cent of the world’s population who were born on February 29th.
And for Raj, the year 2022 is extra special as it marks him hitting the 50-year milestone.
To commemorate the occasion, Banner decided to crash the party, with Russell Shea delivering a celebratory chocolate fudge birthday cake, attractively decorated with fresh cherries.
Raj said: “When Russ from Banner turned up with the cake it was a really pleasant and unexpected surprise.
“As a business we enjoy a very strong relationship with Banner, so for them to acknowledge my 50th birthday says a lot about the business and those who are behind it.
“It’s fair to say that Banner has always been brilliant at what they do, and the support we receive from them really is second to none.
“It has been a privilege to have a very close relationship with both Russ Shea and Lee Quinney since I entered the family business.
“On that note, I would like to thank them for helping make my day a special one.”
Business development manager, Russell Shea said: “It’s not every day that you hear of someone born in a leap year, so it was great to surprise Raj and help him celebrate what was such a special event.
“Given the fact that we’ve always enjoyed a healthy relationship with Raj and his team that goes beyond pure business, it was only appropriate to serve up a birthday treat.”
