European exhaust distributor Opera Automotive, has praised MAM Software after using its electronic parts catalogue and business management software to establish a strong presence in the UK automotive aftermarket.
Operating from its warehouse in Doncaster, the company specialises in the distribution of MTS-branded exhaust system products; silencers, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters and fitting accessories.
“We operate in 25 countries across Europe, and it was our dream to eventually establish ourselves in the UK aftermarket,” explains Cristian Sarri, managing director at Opera Automotive.
“When we first expanded into the UK, we looked at a number of different software providers.
“We asked our customers which was the best option and they told us to go with MAM, as a lot of them already use their products.”
Opera Automotive uses MAM Autopart to manage its business operations and service its growing customer base.
The versatile software enables the company to intelligently manage its core business processes, control costs and generate new profit opportunities.
“Since we started using MAM solutions in 2016 our business has seen healthy growth.
“In June 2017 we moved our operations to a warehouse in Doncaster, our first distribution centre in a foreign country, and now we provide parts for businesses throughout the UK.
“MAM’s experience means that as a new supplier we are able to get set-up and running more efficiently, allowing us to focus on servicing customers.
“Ninety-five percent of our business is also conducted electronically and so MAM’s expertise and connectivity, coupled with their first class customer service, really helps push the business forward.”
In addition to using Autopart to manage its workflow, Opera Automotive is also using MAM’s Autocat catalogue and associated services to manage its product data and promote its parts.
The company’s full range of 3000+ part numbers is now listed in the catalogue, covering more than 95 percent of the UK vehicle parc.
“The MTS range of exhaust parts offers a new and fresh opportunity to the independent aftermarket and our presence on MAM Autocat is another indication of our commitment to developing the brand further in the UK.
“Autocat lets us trade easily with customers and provide updates on a regular basis.
“Because MAM provides software for over 70 per cent of motor factors in the UK, they are very experienced in this industry and they understand the challenges that we face in the aftermarket.”
Commenting on Opera Automotive’s progress, Mark Kendall, sales director at MAM Software, said: “We pride ourselves on delivering extensive support to our clients in all aspects of their business – whether it’s through our catalogue data team providing data conversion and maintenance services, or through our technical support team providing training and guidance on how to get the best out of our software.
“We look forward to maintaining our relationship with Opera and contributing to their continued success in the UK.
“Our close partnerships with our customers enable us to better anticipate and meet their requirements, and consistently deliver innovative solutions that help them thrive.”
