Sykes-Pickavant has released two new caps for its growing brake bleeding range, tackling the non-standard threads of imported Ford Ranger models.
As these vehicles are manufactured outside of Europe, the thread profile is not compatible with standard European brake bleeder caps.
Sykes-Picavant’s cap 34302500 covers models ER & EQ – 1998 – 2012, while Sykes-Pickavant’s cap 34302600 covers TKE – 2011 onwards.
Both caps are compatible with Sykes-Pickavant’s range of brake bleeders including the 34400500 240V six bar electric brake bleeder and the 343001V2 12V six bar automatic brake bleeder.
Sykes-Pickavant say its brake bleeders are renowned for their ‘future-proof’ technology, designed to keep ahead of ever changing automotive industry requirements for vehicles with the latest ABS technology.
A Sykes-Pickavant spokesperson said: “With hybrid and regenerative braking technology being introduced across newer vehicles, higher pressure and flow are now required from the workshop brake bleeder, our models offer an easily adjustable pressure output from 0-6 bars, meeting the requirements and specifications of vehicles currently in production, compared to older style brake bleeders which usually only operate at a fixed pressure of 1 – 1.5 bar.”
The new caps are due to be featured in Sykes-Pickavant’s upcoming January to April promotional brochure.
