Textar supports East Coast College Evolve training session

Braking specialist TMD Friction UK supported East Coast College’s Evolve training session in September, providing best-practice guidance and displaying its premium Textar braking products.

The session, hosted by Jim Harper AMIMI, field technical support at TMD Friction UK, highlighted the safety-critical nature of fitting braking components, by promoting the company’s best-practice fitting guidance.

TMD Friction UK displayed its Textar brand of braking products including Textar brake pads, discs, greases and ABS sensors.

Scott Irwin MIMI, head of technical training at TMD Friction UK, said: “It’s imperative that the next generation of technicians and garage operatives understand the correct fitting procedures, to ensure safe operation of vehicle braking systems.

“These training sessions we run with schools and colleges, as well as motor factors and garages, are key for us to impart our deep technical knowledge and ensure safety and high-quality products are considered the highest priority.”

As a UK-based manufacturer of safety critical components, TMD Friction’s award-winning training team continues to invest in the upskilling of the aftermarket, as it is acutely aware of the importance of correct fitting procedures and works hard with customers to ensure this awareness is instilled across all corners of the UK.

Customers can be assured of high-end braking quality with Textar products, with each new part going through extensive testing and quality assurance over a three-year development cycle before being released.

Knowledge gained from its original equipment development is cascaded to its aftermarket product lines, so customers know they’re getting the very best.
