Mintex Racing continues support for Focus Cup and EnduroKA

Mintex Racing will continue its support of the one-make Focus Cup and EnduroKA motorsport championships in 2023.

Mintex will be the sole braking supplier to the popular championships, which provide drivers with a level playing field and an affordable entrance into high-octane, closely fought national motor racing championships.

Mintex Racing’s involvement in the Focus Cup continues with a full Mintex-liveried Ford Focus lining up on the grid for a full programme driven by Middlesbrough-based Sarah Hall, who said: “I’m beyond excited for my first full season in the Focus Cup after driving two rounds in 2022.

”The Focus is a great car for learning your race craft in. As a novice, it’s good to have a well set-up car beneath you and a good championship to welcome you into racing.

“Each car has Mintex Racing braking equipment on board that gives all drivers full confidence in the stopping power, and I can go into races knowing the only limitation is myself.”

The single-make series features a field of 18 Ford Focus 2.0-litre TDCi mapped to 175 horsepower, with all running Mintex Racing brake discs and pads on the front axle, and Mintex Racing pads on the rear.

The Focus Cup season starts on April 1 at Donington Park, followed by Brands Hatch on April 29. Round three and four take place at Snetterton on June 3-4, with round five at Oulton Park on July 1. Brands Hatch Indy circuit hosts the end-of-season double header with rounds six and seven on September 16 and 17.

Mintex will also continue to provide brake pads to the popular MotorSport Vision Racing EnduroKA series, an endurance racing championship with a field of Mk1 Ford KAs. The series exhibits driving skill and car control and is competed in by teams

EnduroKA gets underway with its first round taking place at Silverstone National from April 15-16, before trips to Cadwell Park on June 24, Donington Park on July 15-16, Snetterton on August 5-6, Oulton Park on September 30 and Brands Hatch on 28-29 October.

TMD Friction has a strong heritage in motorsport through its Mintex brand and 2023 is set to be no different with a diverse set of UK championships benefitting from the company’s renowned high-end braking performance.

With such a diverse range of disciplines we’re really looking forward to competing across various disciplines of UK motorsport again in 2023.”

Mintex brake pads and discs are engineered to provide friction stability, comfort and consistently high performance over a wide temperature range and stopping distances.

Mintex Brakebook allows users to create catalogues tailored to their individual requirements, whether for the entire product range, a selection of products or even for special models.
