A fire at a garage in East Sussex is believed to have been started deliberately. Several cars at Parker Motors in Vines Cross were damaged.

Firefighters from the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to the premises last week and found a number of vehicles ablaze.

A spokesperson for the firefighters told The Argus: “We were called at 7.51pm on 26 October 2023 to reports of a fire at Vines Cross, Horam. A number of cars were alight at a garage on Nettlesworth Lane.

“Firefighters used firefighting foam, breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera. The fire is being treated as deliberate

“No further details are being released at this time.”
