WhoCanFixMyCar partnership with eBay aims to raise awareness of ‘green’ parts

WhoCanFixMyCar has partnered with eBay to help raise awareness among garages of the benefits of using greener parts on customers’ cars.

The independent online car maintenance marketplace, which has over 15,000 garages in its network, will work with eBay over the coming months to promote its new ‘eBay for Business’ platform.

The dedicated online platform gives garages in the WhoCanFixMyCar network instant access to a comprehensive selection of OE green parts from independently certified sellers, some of which are up to 70 per cent cheaper than their OEM equivalent.

All parts have been fully accredited by the Vehicle Recycling Association with next day delivery available on over 90 per cent of items.

The platform includes a vehicle registration look up together with part number search so garages can check instantly for prices as well as availability.

Sid Murrey, Head of OEM Relationships at WhoCanFixMyCar, explained: “We are absolutely thrilled that one of the world’s largest online aggregators of green automotive parts has teamed up with WhoCanFIxMyCar to help promote the benefits of its platform to our garage network in the UK.

“The platform is a real game changer for garages.

!Once they have registered on ‘eBay for Business’, they have the opportunity to not only browse a comprehensive range of fully accredited OE green parts from suppliers but also check availability together with prices.

“Add to that next day delivery on over 90 per cent of parts, warranties on all bodywork and mechanical parts together a carbon calculator to show exactly how much you would save in terms of C02 emissions by purchasing that part, and it adds up to an extremely compelling proposition for garages.”

Launched in 2011, WhoCanFixMyCar has processed over three million car maintenance requests from drivers to date. It currently receives up to 100,000 new MOT, servicing and repair requests every month.
