Anticipation for Garage of the Year celebrations at the Director Club, Aston Villa FC on June 5 continues to build following the announcement of this year’s finalists.
Each of the six category winners will be revealed during the event and each of the finalists are to be treated to free food and drink.
Special guests joining us for the evening include industry expert, Andy Savva, director of the Independent Garage Association, Stuart James and TV presenter, motoring journalists and mechanic, Fuzz Townshend.
One of the finalists will go on to be announced as the official Garage of the Year the following day at Automechanika Birmingham and will take home a £1,000 cheque.
“Big accolade”
Simon Cook of ACC UK Ltd in Farnborough, which had been shortlisted for Business Innovation said: “This is a really big accolade.
“We’re really proud to have been shortlisted.”
Nicola Wakeling of Hillclimb Garage in High Wycombe, which has been shortlisted for Best Small Garage and Technology Innovation, said: “Well what wonderful news.
“The team here is still jumping round the workshop.
“It’s fabulous news for us, especially being such a new company.
“We have such a dedicated team here and honestly, they have worked so hard to make this happen.”
The competition, which is being held by Automechanika Birmingham in partnership with Garage Wire, has this year seen a record number of entries.
The evening event is being sponsored by the Independent Garage Association, Elta, EDT, AA Garage Guide, Autologic, Launch UK and The Parts Alliance.
Automechanika Birmingham 2018 opens its doors at the NEC from 5 to 7 June featuring a new-look layout, hosting over 500 quality exhibitors.
