JackFinder, specialists in providing online real-time manufacturer data service pricing, has appointed James Onions into the newly created role of Country Manager.
JackFinder has a suite of solutions including business-to-business (B2B) price engines for calculating or comparing car service and maintenance jobs as well as a fully fledged consumer website where drivers can find garages, review prices and book online at www.GaragesNear.me.
GaragesNear.me has already been successfully piloted in the UK from late 2019 before Covid’s interruption but the plan now is to accelerate the development of the garage network and expand consumer awareness.
James has worked in the automotive aftermarket for over 20 years in senior sales and marketing roles for a range of companies including manufacturers and motor factor groups and has built his own businesses too.
“It’s an exciting time to join JackFinder and a stimulating challenge,” said James. “The prime appeal is that the business has data and technology at it’s core; being able to instantly calculate accurate parts and labour requirements for specific vehicle jobs opens up interesting opportunities.
“The initial challenge is pretty simple – we need to grow our garage network and then we can evaluate and address the many opportunities available moving forwards.”
Garages benefit from an online booking platform with GaragesNear.me that promotes their identity, respects their prices and does not demand additional services from them like collection and delivery. There’s no ‘work’ involved either as automatic quotes are generated instantly from manufacturer parts data and labour times around hourly rates the garages control themselves.
“We’re looking forward to building our presence in the UK over the coming months and are pleased to welcome James to the team,” said Heikki Laaki, Co-Founder and CEO of Jackfinder.
