Apec has issued a new technical bulletin covering the correct fitment of rear brake pads and wear sensors (WIR5243 to PAD1448) on Jaguar XF and XJ models.

Technicians are advised to remove the pad spring fitting from the top of the pad using a suitable tool before inserting the wear sensor into the spring.

Apec1The spring and wear sensor should be inserted back into the pad using the correct tool.

In the bulletin, Apec warn technicians to “pay special attention not to apply force on top of the plastic sensor housing during this step to avoid damaging the sensor housing.”
