The Original Equipment Suppliers Automotive Association (OESAA) is offering attendees at the UK’s first ever Automechanika the opportunity to win a selection of exclusive prizes donated by OESAA members present at the exhibition.
A competition entry card will be available at the OESAA stand, which also contains five questions that participants can ask non-OESAA members to help distinguish between true OE parts and ‘matching quality equivalents’.
The card asks questions such as: “How many vehicle manufactures does your brand supply as first fit?” and “What quality certification and procedures are in place to ensure the reliability and quality of your products?”
Only OE suppliers will be able to positively answer all of the questions.
Entrants will be in with a chance of winning an ‘OESAA Garage Make Over’ worth £2000, a pair of tickets for Goodwood Festival of Speed (plus 2 NGK VIP hospitality passes), a ‘Five-supercar thrill’ Virgin experience at a top race track from ZF and 2 tickets to an England football match at Wembley Stadium courtesy of Hella.
Bosch is also contributing a KTS 970 diagnostics computer and trolley PLUS an FSA 500 module as a complete prize package worth £7,215 RRP.
The kit will be on display at the OESAA stand during the show.
Industry standards
OESAA Chairman, Nigel Morgan said: “We want to encourage interaction between mechanics and the OESAA members present at the show so that they get a well-rounded perspective on the strides we are taking to drive industry standards upwards.”
OESAA’s presence at Automechanika is central to the group’s drive to raise awareness of the benefits of OE components and the pitfalls of ‘matching quality’ alternatives; these can include hidden costs from breakages, lost labour time and increased reputational risk.
