The old core unit is completely striped down into its component parts for cleaning and inspection.
Experts check that the tolerances of any components are to be re-used are within manufacturer specification.
All service wear, failed parts and/or any critical component parts that are prone to failure are replaced.
Attention is also paid to components that are approaching their maximum wear tolerance to give quality assurance in the finished product, backed by Carwood’s two-year warranty on common rail (terms and conditions apply).
The unit is reassembled in clean room conditions (class 7 ISO:14644-1 accredited).
Testing
Tests are carried out using the latest OE test plan data on manufacturer approved test equipment; to the equivalent or latest test plan data as supplied by the original fuel injection equipment manufacturer.
The unit is then laser engraved and labelled for full traceability before final finishing and packaging in heat sealed, protective ‘Zerust’ bags.
