Factor praises MAM Software for opening success
New commercial motor factor starts trading with Autopart business management software.

Commercial motor factor, Leyland Truck and Trailer has commended the functionality of Autopart, MAM’s market leading business management solution, and MAM staff for playing an important role in getting its business up and running.

The factor opened its doors on 12th September at its site in Warrington.

The company chose to deploy Autopart v30 as its business management software (BMS) after receiving strong recommendations from other factors.

A member of MAM’s implementation team was dispatched to configure Autopart, train staff and swiftly import Leyland Truck and Trailer’s existing product data into the system during the weekend prior to opening.

“We looked at a couple of other solutions which would have done the job, but they were not geared towards automotive parts,” Greg Harper, IT consultant for Leyland Truck and Trailer explains.

“The guys who use it on a day-to-day basis said that their first impressions were that the system was much faster and a lot easier to use than software they had used in the past.

“One key bonus for them is that it’s geared specifically for automotive parts, rather than a standard off-the-shelf product.

“To make sure everything to do with your business management software is in place is a daunting task, especially when you are starting up from scratch.

“In order to be ready for opening day we had to input thousands of lines of data into Autopart which we were able to do quickly due to MAM being so helpful.”

Ben Whitehouse, senior sales manager at MAM Software, said: “We’re pleased to see that Autopart suits Leyland Truck and Trailer’s business requirements and that we were able to take a weight off their shoulders.

“Autopart has been designed by specialists who understand how automotive part distributors, motor factors and retailers work, and offers an extensive range of functions to enhance their processes to increase profit.”
