Febi offers advice for Audi A4 front axle repairs
Nuts and bolts are often over-torqued, warns Febi.

Released in 2015, the latest generation of the Audi A4 has focused heavily on technology, with all models having alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, three-zone climate control and a seven-inch colour display screen as standard.

Febi Bilstein stocks more than 1,000 references for Audi A4 models, including parts from all the core ranges including steering, suspension and electrical, as well as braking components and transmission parts.

Front axle repairs

When repairing the front axle, Febi says: “In instances when the shock absorber has to be separated from the wheel bearing housing, the nuts and bolts are often over-torqued and can be seized or corroded.

“Trying to re-use the old nuts and bolts would make future repairs almost impossible.”

Febi Bilstein recommends that the nuts and bolts are replaced each time.

Febi’s suspension bolt kit (part 27876) provides all the necessary parts for a repair, including a bolt for the shock absorber mounting, and a hex nut.
