A motorist was lucky to walk away without a scratch this week after crashing into a metal barrier which speared through the windscreen, narrowly avoiding the unnamed driver’s head.
A police spokesperson said: “A fraction more to the right and the motorist would have almost certainly have been decapitated.”
The incident happened on July 10 in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Polices say the driver lost control in a car park and smashed at high speed into the railings.
There were no pedestrians in the way when the driver lost control.
