Over 1,900 jobs were booked by motorists via GoodGarageScheme.com, providing further evidence that an increasing number of drivers prefer to find a garage online, as well as book a service, MOT or repair online and ‘out of hours’.
Online service booking is one of a number of benefits available to Good Garage Scheme workshops as part of their membership of the programme which is widely accepted as a mark of quality for independent garages across the UK.
The online booking facility is easy to set up, only requiring an email address that’s checked daily.
Motorists request a booking online which is then emailed to the workshop enabling them to contact the customer to confirm the date, time and any other details relating to the booking.
Anndi Sheppard, the Good Garage Scheme’s marketing manager, said: “The continuing growth in motorists using the online service booking facility on GoodGarageScheme.com clearly demonstrates that an increasing number of drivers prefer to search for a workshop and book their car in for a service via the web at a time that’s convenient them and without the need to call the garage during business hours and make arrangements over the phone.
“Online service booking is a key benefit of Good Garage Scheme membership, enabling independent workshops to keep pace with their vehicle manufacturer franchise aftersales competitors.”
