A man has been pulled over by police after he was seen weaving across a main road but it was only when the vehicle was stopped that Darlington Police Specials saw that the car was had lost a tyre.
The driver failed a breath test, blowing 52 micrograms of alcohol in 10ml of breath when the limit is 35, and is due in court on his third drink driving charge.
Police said that the man was too drunk to realise he had a tyre missing.
