Policeman gets licence points for speeding in seized Lambo
The supercar was seized by police in a dispute over car insurance but it was later handed back to the owner after it was found to have been properly insured.

A police officer has been given points on his licence after driving a seized Lamborghini at 60mph in a 30mph zone.

The hire car was originally stopped near London’s Heathrow Airport in June and the driver was told by two officers that the vehicle was not properly insured and that it must be seized.

Hire company boss, Erwyn Mackee strongly dispute any problems with the insurance and was furious when he found that the car tracker proved the Lamborghini had been speeding.

The Met Police have confirmed that one of their officers has got penalty points on his licence following the incident and another has faced internal action.

Mackee has accused the police of “joyriding” his car.

He said: “They must have not had much to do last night and just wanted to look at the car.”
