Kia Ceed TPMS issue solved by Bartec Auto ID

John Stone, founder of Stone Tyres in St Helens, has taken to social media to heap praise on what he calls “the amazing Bartec Auto ID equipment”.

In a video posted on LinkedIn, John Stone said a customer contacted him on Facebook after having tyres fitted on her Kia Ceed at a rival outlet. The tyre fitter had damaged the valve, which had triggered the tyre pressure warning light.

The customer was then “fobbed off” by another outlet which told her “the light would go off eventually” having replaced a valve but failed to reprogram the system.

John used the Bartec TPMS kit to identify which valves were faulty; one was diagnosed as the wrong valve, while the other was not being detected.

Two new Bartec sensors were fitted and programmed, with the entire job completed in less than an hour.

The customer thanked John Stone for the “excellent service”, while Samantha Hammond, head of marketing at Bartec Auto ID, called it “brilliant news”.
