With two golden and three silver sensor winners, the Hella sensor competition has officially ended, with the final two winners recently claiming their prizes for a golden and silver sensor respectively.
When co-owner of Bridge Garage Services in Hemel Hempstead, Lee Bradbury, opened the Hella oil sensor box for the replacement VW sensor he’d ordered, he found a prize-winning golden sensor alongside it, making him the second gold winner and £2,000 richer in the process.
Lee commented: “I know Hella is a respected original equipment (OE) manufacturer, which is one of the reasons I ordered the oil sensor through our regular motor factor, Allparts, but I never expected that we would also win £2,000.
“In an ever changing market, our biggest challenge is to keep up with the constant advance of automotive technology.
“To make sure we can overcome these obstacles and to plan for a positive future, we’re going through some major changes at the garage, such as expanding our work space to increase productivity and building a customer-friendly reception area to ensure our valued customers benefit from a warm, clean and tidy environment, so the £2,000 is more than welcome.”
The final silver winner, Nicholas Bowman of Village Car Repairs based in Crookham Village, Hampshire, recently claimed his prize from Jamie Deboo, Hella’s business development manager.
Senior head of marketing and communications at Hella UK, Helen Goldingay, said: “Although the sensor promotion was fundamentally about raising awareness of the wide range of products available within the extensive Hella portfolio, it was also great to be able to give hardworking professionals prizes that are obviously so appreciated.
“Overall, the competition has been fantastic, with a positive response from garages and motor factors, I’d like to once again congratulate all of our winners.”
