Lucas Oil driver Jacob Heap made a strong impression at Knockhill last weekend.
It’s a first season in the junior Saloon Car Championship for the 15-year-old rookie, who surprised many with his racing line and by getting away so fast in all three races at Scotland’s national motorsport centre.
On a rain affected track, it was no surprise to see red flags and the safety car out on several occasions, but Heap responded with flying re-starts and continually improved his lap times throughout the weekend.
A total of 68 points so far gives Heap 12th place in a field of 36 Championship contenders at the halfway stage.
“Overall ,an amazing weekend for my first ever time at Knockhill and some good points scored. Bring on Snetterton in 2 weeks,” he said.
That event takes place in Norfolk, 3-4th July 2021.
