Snap-on highlights workshop support and aftercare

Snap-on strives to provide garage owners with total peace of mind that their investment is supported by industry-leading technical customer support and aftercare services.

With over 70 GEA-accredited service engineers and technical sales associates available around the UK, as well as a dedicated staff of customer care and product support professionals at its UK contact centre, Snap-on is equipped to rapidly support customers when they need assistance.

The entire UK service engineering team recently gathered at the Snap-on Diagnostics and Equipment facility in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, for an intensive training programme that included garage equipment training as well as completion of two GEA qualifications: MOT Equipment Engineer (Installation and Calibration) and Lift Engineer (Installation and Inspections).

Julian Woods, CEO of the Garage Equipment Association, delivered both of these GEA programmes.

The 40-strong team of factory-trained service engineers are UKAS- and GEA-accredited.

They are available nationwide to assist garage equipment customers with installations, routine maintenance, calibrations and servicing, as well as friendly advice, to ensure that workshop doors remain open at all times.

Furthermore, Snap-on has a dedicated in-house staff of customer care and product support specialists in the UK who are qualified to quickly handle issues and, where possible, give remote help to consumers for a quick, first-time fix.

“Snap-on is devoted to providing our customers with best-in-class support and aftercare service, and we maintain this by getting survey feedback from hundreds of consumers every month,” said Mark Ost, General Manager, Snap-on Diagnostics and Equipment.

“The recent training of our UK engineering team demonstrates our commitment to provide skilled help to clients when they need it.”

“We are very pleased that Snap-on have decided to have its garage equipment sales and service associates GEA accredited,” said Julian Woods, Chief Executive Officer of the Garage Equipment Association.”

This goes to demonstrate to garage owners and vehicle technicians that they are dealing with a cutting-edge equipment company who value staff training and skills and that they can be truly depended on.”

“Snap-on is committed to continuously investing in our customer care and support programmes to guarantee that we always give an amazing service and support to our customers at all times,” Mark Ost concluded.
