AA Garage Guide, the online search and booking platform for MOTs, servicing and repairs that promotes quality first, has confirmed that the recently-launched Motor Ombudsman (formerly known as Motor Codes) will be advocating the AA Garage Guide platform to all of its accredited garages with immediate effect.
The Motor Ombudsman is the first ombudsman to be focused solely on the automotive sector, and self-regulates the UK’s motor industry through its comprehensive Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved Codes of Practice.
Thousands of franchised dealers and independent garages are accredited to its Service and Repair Code, which drives even higher standards of work and service within the automotive industry.
True to its commitment to champion only the very best, The AA has set strict criteria for garages wishing to join the Garage Guide platform, only working with those who offer exceptional customer care.
High standards seem to be in the mind of motorists, as 90 per cent of visitors to the Garage Guide website base their search results on quality, and 100 per cent of the top-ten most booked garages are Motor Ombudsman-accredited.
Of all four/five-star garage ratings that are submitted to the site by customers, 78 per cent are affiliated with The Motor Ombudsman.
The reciprocal relationship between the two organisations will see the immediate promotion of listings on the AA Garage Guide platform to the Motor Ombudsman’s accredited businesses, whilst The AA will endorse The Motor Ombudsman to its website visitors as the benchmark of industry quality.
AA Garage Guide director, Lucy Burnford said: “The AA is already the UK’s most trusted brand, but this agreement with an important industry body such as The Motor Ombudsman provides even greater reassurance to our customers that we guide them to garages that we’re confident they can trust to take care of them and their cars.”
