The owner of an Audi Q7 has listed dealership complaints on his car and left it parked outside the showroom to be seen by thousands of passing motorists in Bradford.
Sajad Sadiq arranged for signage on his car and left it parked by the dealership in protest over his sister-in-law’s quote from Audi to repair the A6, which he claims is £9,860.
Sadiq said Yasmin Akhtar is refusing to pay the estimate for a new gearbox because she insists it should be covered under warranty.
He claims Akhtar received the quote about ten days before the three-year warranty was due to expire with 58,000 miles on the clock.
Mileage exceeds warranty limit
However, according to Sadiq, Audi has said it won’t cover the repairs under warranty because the car exceeded the 60,000 mileage limit.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Sadiq said: “It’s absolutely crazy.
“I’ve asked them to show me in black and white that the mileage is over 60,000 miles but they won’t.
“My sister-in-law’s car needs fixing and has been left sitting on her driveway since March while she’s paying finance.
“Leaving my car outside the showroom has got their attention – I’ve been trying to arrange a meeting with them for six months.
“I won’t rest until it’s sorted.”
Audi declined to comment while it’s in discussions with its legal team about the case.
