Mintex Racing launches high-performance race ranges at A24

New for 2024, Mintex Racing has revitalised its high-performance race ranges, consisting of both road-legal and track-only products.

These next-generation brake pads were officially launched last week at the ‘A24’ Autosport International Show. Three all-new compounds, MRM1805, MRM1802 and MRM1801 were revealed, each featuring new formulations and technologies.

The new products are Eco-friendly to Euro 4 standard, with no copper, antimony or other rare earth resources.

Complementing the F Series, these new products enable Mintex Racing to cater to a broader spectrum of the performance driver market – from road to track.

New pure race compounds

Two new compounds were launched. Replacing the outgoing M1166, the new MRM1805 is designed for higher surface grip racing such as tarmac rallying and single-seater racing. MRM1805 is rated for track use only and is not road legal.

The other new pure race compound is MRM1802, which has been created for lower surface grip situations such as loose surface rallying and off-road racing. MRM1802 replaces the existing M1155 and some M1144 race applications.

New road legal high-performance compounds

Mintex Racing’s NEW MRM1801 compound has been specifically developed for performance road and light, track-day use. This advanced compound, succeeding M1144, incorporates track-to-road technology derived from Mintex Racing’s competition program. MRM1801 enables the track-day enthusiast to extract maximum thrills and performance on track, while also enjoying exceptional on-road characteristics and durability – the best of both worlds.

Environmental sustainability

The new pads are all Eco-friendly to Euro 4 standard and are all free from copper, antinomy and other rare earth resources; Mintex Racing has a continuous commitment to sustainability and environmental concerns, addressing the growing demands of customers in these areas.

Significant performance improvements

Genuine technological advancements have enabled Mintex Racing to achieve improvements across virtually all performance metrics compared to the part numbers the new products are replacing, as the below radar chart demonstrates.

New packaging

To mark the launch of the new products is all-new and more robust branded packaging. Each box features a security seal and contains sticker packs with QR links that link to the pad’s bedding-in procedure.

Unrivalled value for money

As part of its TMD Friction parent company, Mintex Racing is able to better control both development and production costs and continue to pass tangible savings through to its customers.

Richard Barton, Mintex Racing category manager at TMD Friction, said: “Already the official braking partner to over twenty UK Championships, we have invested heavily in research, development and technology to totally reinvigorate the Mintex Racing range and galvanise our position as the ‘Real World Racing brake’.”
