Supertracker has updated its STR1 laser half cab and trolley to feature green lasers. The use of green lasers is proven to improve the visibility, precision and clarity of the laser line.
This occurs, not only in normal workshop light conditions, but also in outdoor conditions, and over a longer distance, in comparison to the traditional red lasers. This takes an already versatile, mobile solution and makes it more accessible and useful in a wider variety of uses.
Green can be seen
The human eye is inherently more sensitive to green light due to the photopic response – a phenomenon where the eye’s peak sensitivity falls around 555 nanometers, which coincides with the wavelength of green light. This heightened sensitivity allows green lasers to appear brighter and more visible than red lasers to the human eye.
Green lasers are also visible in a much wider range of light conditions, increasing the effectiveness in all seasons, indoors and out, as they can travel over longer distances. They also offer clarity and precision due to the brightness, all important factors in environments requiring pinpoint accuracy. This innovation led to an increase in popularity of green lasers in many applications such as construction, installation, surveying, medicine, entertainment and technology.
Supertracker has now brought this enhancement to wheel alignment, offering laser wheel alignment systems with green lasers.
Now offering a notable advantage for use for track days, race teams, mobile wheel alignment, home car enthusiast, as well as tyre shops, MOT stations, used car centres, and even to operators who are colourblind. The visibility and battery life of the green laser in brighter conditions sets the Supertracker STR1 apart from its competition.
The all-new Supertracker STR1
The new STR1 green laser wheel alignment system, which is manufactured in the UK, is available as a wall-hung solution as a space-saving option or on a trolley as a mobile solution. Both of which are designed in a neutral grey and black, which complement the other equipment found in a workshop environment.
This design update offers customers a sleek look, as well as bringing together the full Supertracker alignment range into one uniform, straightforward design. Now supplied with a 9V battery and with hangers to fit up to 24-inch wheels, with the ability to easily and accurate measure toe and thrust angle.
The STR1 can also be upgraded to measure camber and castor with use of a digital camber castor gauge.
All Supertracker wheel alignment machines are supported by a knowledgeable, national field service aftercare support and wheel alignment sales specialists, as well as readily available parts and accessories.
