Workshop equipment supplier, V-Tech has announced its support of the DVSA’s decision to to lift its suspension of new ATF applications.
Applications made under the DVSA’s new criteria will now be prioritised based on the certainty and scale of improvement in service the proposed ATF can offer, V-Tech say.
A V-Tech spokesperson said: “Previously the DVSA had put a temporary suspension on accepting new ATF applications, to focus their efforts on supporting existing ATF’s.
“However, as part of the heavy vehicle testing review, The Department for Transport has recommended that the DVSA should consider allowing more ATF’s to open.
“This suggestion has now been accepted and the DVSA have announced that they are officially accepting new ATF applications.”
Workshops interested in becoming an approved ATF are advised to speak to a specialist at V-Tech.
