A driver caught doing 111mph on the M1 in Northern Ireland told police he was running late for an MOT test.
Posting on Facebook, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said: “This morning, officers from Mahon Road station detected this BMW speeding on M1.
“The excuse that he was late for an MOT appointment can never justify speeds this high.
“The driver has been reported for the offence and will need to attend court in the near future.”
