A dispute has arisen over pavement parking outside Buttars Loan Service Centre in Dundee, with the owner, Michael Sinclair, claiming he is the victim of a “witch-hunt”.
Locals allege that cars being serviced are parked on the pavement, forcing pedestrians to walk on the road. They also claim cars are blocking pavements on nearby Donalds Lane, which Sinclair denies.
Residents argue that nothing is being done about the situation, which they describe as a significant health and safety issue. Sinclair, however, maintains that he does not believe he is obstructing anyone and that he only parks on wider sections of the pavement.
Dundee City Council has encouraged residents to report pavement parking hotspots.
