A Pembrokeshire mechanic has been banned from the roads for three years after being caught driving while under the influence of drugs.
Luke Daniel Petit was stopped by police in Haverfordwest and found to be nearly four times over the legal drug-drive limit.
Petit pleaded guilty at Haverfordwest magistrates’ court, where, in addition to the driving ban, he was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £48 surcharge.
His solicitor told the court: “Anyone working in Pembrokeshire without a licence is going to find it difficult to find employment,” he said.
“But when you’re a qualified mechanic, the repercussions are going to be huge.”

If it’s going to be hard to find a job without a licence then don’t do drugs.
A company I know of, someone was caught under the influence after being reported by a colleague to management
The man that reported it, was then ostracised by the rest of the workforce
What a crazy world we live in!
