Apec braking, a leading braking supplier, has issued guidance for technicians replacing rear brake discs on the Renault Clio Sport 172/182 01-05.
Garages are being urged to ensure that the spacers, located behind the brake discs on the rear stub axle, remain in place and have not been removed with the used disc as this is required for the fitment of the new discs.
Failure to refit the spacers can result in premature bearing failure and possible damage to the rear stub axles.
New spacers are only available from Renault Main Dealers: deflector C2 – OE number 60 00 073 518.
