Stuart James, IGA Director, commented: “Whilst technical information is available in many forms, it is still difficult without specialist software or equipment for independent garages to access.
“The IGA will carry out an assessment of what is available and what is difficult to obtain, working with the VM’s to try and find a solution.
“We will be lobbying the EU in line with the legislation and producing factual accessibility problems until we achieve a level playing field for the benefit of consumers, as this legislation was dictated.”
