The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has welcomed Klarius Products into its membership.

Based in Cheadle, Klarius is one of the largest manufacturers of aftermarket emissions equipment in the UK.

The business combines in-house research and development, testing, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facilities to provide market leading components for a wide range of vehicles.

The Klarius emissions control range incorporates exhausts, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters, mountings and accessories – all designed to achieve OEM performance and meet both UK and European legislative compliance.

In the automotive aftermarket, Klarius recognises that emissions components are bulky to stock and can be slow moving.

As a result, it embarks on a pro-active stock management service to reduce overheads and improve stock turnover and profitability for distributors.

The company operates lean demand driven stocking procedures, ensuring high availability, but also a full choice of components for less popular applications.

With greater focus both in the UK and throughout the global automotive industry on emissions control – as outlined at the recent IAAF Annual Conference – emissions will have a profound effect on the industry’s future and continue to dominate headlines.

Wendy Williamson, IAAF chief executive, said: “We welcome Klarius Products into membership in what promises to be a very challenging but exciting year for our trade.

“The company’s expertise and experience across a number of areas will prove invaluable to our expanding membership.”

Mark Brickhill, Klarius CEO, said: “The IAAF is at the forefront of issues affecting our industry and so we’re delighted to be part of these discussions, and work with the federation and its members to promote a prosperous industry.

“We’ve never needed a strong voice more than now with the immediate challenges we all face from coronavirus, including business disruption and the more long-term issue of enabling more environmentally sustainable vehicles.

“We particularly support the introduction of Euro 6 diesels requiring AdBlue.

“They are exceptionally clean and emit 15-20 per cent less CO2 than petrol engines, while being both affordable for drivers and operable within existing/realistically foreseeable fuelling infrastructure.”
