OESAA Academy Live returns for 2024

The Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) has confirmed the dates for the return of OESAA Academy Live, starting at Trafford College on Thursday 29 February.

The organisation is keen to build on the success of its college events in 2023, where hundreds of students and working apprentices were given informative presentations and dynamic demonstrations orchestrated by OESAA members.

Following the first event at Trafford Park, Manchester, OESAA Academy Live will visit East Coast College (Lowestoft) and Suffolk New College, hosting back-to-back events on the 20 and 21 March respectively.

The momentum will continue with Blackburn College set to host a fourth event on 18 April, concluding an initial flurry of OESAA roadshows in just seven weeks, with more to be confirmed and announced in due course.

The likes Schaeffler, Bosch, DENSO, MAHLE and Brembo have pledged their support to OESAA Academy Live. Their attendance emphasises their commitment to nurturing the burgeoning talent within colleges across the UK and Ireland, while championing the dynamic automotive sector.

Bosch’s Mark Heard will explore the current challenges associated with vehicle diagnostics; and Stuart Mcleod from ZF delves into transmission servicing.

Furthermore, Jo Warren from GSF Car Parts and a representative from the IMI will also be in attendance. Jo, the HR director of the national motor factor, will share her expertise in CV writing and offer invaluable career advice.

OESAA Chairman, Nigel Morgan, said: “We are thrilled to announce the return of OESAA Academy Live, following the tremendous success of our college events in 2023.

“These events serve as a vital platform for us to engage with the next generation of automotive professionals, offering them first-hand insights into our industry.

“With the support of our dedicated members, we are excited to continue inspiring and discovering the best young talents across the UK and Ireland.”
