The software developers behind garage management system CarVue have moved to larger offices in Reading following expansion and investment from oil supplier Castrol.

The growth of CarVue since it was launched last year, led the team to find a new workplace in Reading, billed as the hi-tech capital of the UK.

Castrol has long provided its garage customers with tools to maximise their businesses, like the eVHC or electronic health check system, which enables mechanics to identify and record work required.

CarVue’s new office extends over three floors and a total of 6,000 square feet. The former bank has been completely redeveloped to create a modern working environment whilst retaining some of its quirky features such as the vault, giving it an individual character.

Managing director Carl Lightfoot said: The Castrol investment marked a huge turning point enabling us to focus resources on the development of CarVue to ensure it incorporated the features garage owners needed to be able to run their businesses as smoothly, efficiently and profitably as possible whilst still being easy to use.

“Our new home in Reading is rooted in history whilst being contemporary and with a distinctive character which reflects the CarVue product itself.”
