Lucas Oil supports Tony Lynch in Retro Rallycross Championship

Lucas Oil has confirmed its support for Wigan-based driver Tony Lynch, who will challenge for the Retro Rallycross Championship during the 2021 season.

This will be his third attempt to win it driving the Toyota MR2.

Lynch will compete with the support of products from the Lucas Oil range of oils, lubricants, additives and workshop products.

The car will run on 20w50 Racing Engine Oil, fortified with Engine Oil Stabilizer to reduce engine wear throughout the season’s long and harsh operating conditions.

The gearbox will be lubricated by Lucas Oil’s 75×90 synthetic oil.

The partnership has a successful history. Last year’s success was the Supermodified Championship, which was part of the Autosport International BTRDA Rallycross Championship presented by Cooper Tires.

Work is under way to upgrade the car ahead of the opening round of the season at Lydden Hill – the spiritual home of rallycross – in late May.

“We are confident going into 2021 about what we can achieve on track in what will hopefully be a more ‘regular’ season,” said Lynch.

“More than ever this is the time to thank the supporters and sponsors who enable us to go racing, as it would have been very easy for them to decide that now was the time to walk away because of the impact of COVID-19.”
